Panel 2: I call it "rustic" because the rooms have screen doors, wood paneling, and other features common to old-fashioned small-town homes, instead of looking like some gleaming ultramodern chain motel. Vakko, however, does not consider "rustic" an applicable term because the Highland Court Motel has electricity and running water.
Panel 6: "Eric" is the name of Michael Mink's player (or "a-e", alter ego, as per his nomenclature.)
