Panel 1: I'm told that the 2400 motel is often used to film scenes in movies, and TV shows such as "The X-Files". The motel consists of a bunch of separate cabins, and apparently Agent Mulder is often seen walking around them or knocking on doors or whatnot.
Panel 3: Nerk was a friend of Rhia's, real name Katie. (Apparently 'Nerk' is a Kids in the Hall reference. Must be an episode I haven't seen.)
